Consensys, the Ethereum software developer firm behind the popular MetaMask wallet, unveiled its new product, the “MetaMask Delegation Toolkit,” at the Ethereum Community Conference (EthCC) in Brussels, Belgium.
The toolkit aims to enhance the user experience of blockchain applications by streamlining processes and eliminating friction points. It enables instant user onboarding without the need for traditional wallet interactions. This means users can seamlessly switch between decentralized applications and wallets without facing pop-ups or confirmations.
One of the key features of the Delegation Toolkit is its ability to simplify smart contract development. Developers can also assign gas costs to other users, ensuring that certain individuals are not required to pay fees.
The toolkit is compatible with any chain that supports the Ethereum Virtual Machine. It is supported by a User Operation Bundler and compatible with platforms such as Arbitrum, Avalanche, Base, Linea, Optimism, and Polygon.
Dan Finlay, co-founder of MetaMask, emphasized the benefits of the toolkit, stating that it enables seamless onboarding of users into dynamic experiences that leverage collaboration and authorization in new ways.
Consensys’ move to launch the MetaMask Delegation Toolkit underscores its commitment to improving the usability and functionality of decentralized applications on the Ethereum network.
