Introduction
Fireblocks, a leading crypto custody firm, has recently announced the addition of five new firms to its Global Custodian Partner Program. This program aims to provide crypto institutions utilizing Fireblocks technology with secure third-party custody solutions in various jurisdictions around the world.
New Custodian Partners
The five firms joining the program are Zodia Custody, Komainu, CloudTech, Zerocap, and Rakkar. Each of these partners will offer local safekeeping options in specific regions including the U.K., Australia, Singapore, the UAE, and Japan, respectively. Additionally, Fireblocks is in the process of establishing a New York Trust company to cater to clients in the U.S. once approved.
Need for Custodial Solutions
In the rapidly evolving crypto landscape, institutions often require reliable custodial solutions to manage digital assets securely. The Fireblocks partner program simplifies digital asset treasury management, enabling fast asset transactions and efficient payment workflows for customers.
Future Expansion
As the Global Custodian Partner Program continues to grow, Fireblocks plans to expand its reach to additional regions such as the European Union and Latin America. Adam Levine, SVP of corporate development at Fireblocks, emphasized the importance of having a diverse network of custodians to meet the evolving needs of clients.
According to Levine, the program is not limited to a specific number of custodians per jurisdiction, drawing parallels to Fireblocks’ extensive connectivity with crypto exchanges. The company aims to collaborate with a wide range of strong custodians to offer clients a comprehensive and secure custody solution.
