Katman-2 network Blast has finally announced the details of the long-awaited airdrop program. According to the announcement made by Blast Foundation, a total of 17 billion tokens will be distributed in the first phase airdrop scheduled for Wednesday, June 26.
Airdrop Distribution Details
7% of the 17 billion tokens will go to users who contribute to protocol liquidity by bridging between ETH or Blast’s stablecoin USDB. In addition, users participating in decentralized applications will receive another 7% of the airdrop, and the remaining 3% will be distributed to the Blur Foundation.
Blast was created by Tieshun Roquerre, the founder of the NFT marketplace Blur. Blast’s main goal is to create a yield model for Ethereum and stablecoins, thereby increasing the platform’s liquidity.
Community Airdrop Plans
Blast has allocated 50% of the total 100 billion token supply to the community and plans to conduct additional airdrops over the next three years. According to the tokenomics report, core contributors will receive 25.5% of the token supply, investors 16.5%, and Blast Foundation 8%.
With the sharing of airdrop details, platform users have eagerly begun to wait. However, some users express concerns that recent airdrops have not met expectations.
