IoTeX, a blockchain platform aimed at decentralized physical infrastructure projects (DePIN), has announced the launch of its 2.0 platform. The goal of IoTeX 2.0 is to democratize access to DePIN by forming partnerships with prominent projects such as NEAR, Filecoin, RISC Zero, and Espresso. These collaborations aim to enhance data availability, storage, computation, and sequencing within the IoTeX ecosystem.
The new features of IoTeX 2.0 include DePIN Infrastructure Modules (DIMs) and Modularity Security Pool (MSP). These innovations are designed to reduce development costs and support sustainable growth for DePIN projects. IoTeX aims to establish itself as the leading decentralized hub for devices and data, catering to both human users and AI agents.
One of the key advancements in IoTeX 2.0 is the introduction of Modularity Security Pool (MSP), which allows DePIN layer-1s to stake their Proof-of-Stake security to DIMs. This mechanism fosters growth and sustainability within the ecosystem, providing projects with exposure, liquidity, and verification as they evolve. As DePIN projects mature, they can transition to their own DePIN-specific L2, achieving greater autonomy and control.
IoTeX’s strategic approach to collaboration and innovation sets it apart as a pioneer in the realm of decentralized infrastructure projects. By leveraging partnerships and cutting-edge technologies, IoTeX is poised to revolutionize the way devices and data are managed and utilized in the digital age.
